Poke Bonnet

Did I make this while watching Pride and Prejudice?

...yes... (And that is the 1995 version. It is the only way to go.)

I bagsied a £1 straw hat from Flying Tiger at the close of summer, because I'd heard about upcycling straw hats into bonnets, so I gave it a go!

A very fun afternoon I will say, gluing down the faux flowers and making the frilliest brim that I could out of the remnants of old fabrics. You can see another bonnet I made on the 1840's- Agnes Dress page.

I should certainly make more of these, they're super fun, cheap and quick little projects!
