ANNA BROWN
COSTUME AND WARDROBE
Purple Georgian Dress
Date Completed
January 2022
This dress was my second attempt at Angela Clayton's McCall's Pattern M7826, but this time, for a change, I only used the bodice pattern. Opting to create my own gathered, half-length (removable) skirt for the back.

The idea I had was that I could create a variation of skirts for the bodice, to keep switching it up. I confess, any other variations of skirt have yet to materialise...

The purple silk was originally a sheet covering, that somebody kindly donated to me. The petticoat and bodice lining are made out of a lilac cotton bedsheet. front hook-and-eye closure and the bodice is boned and lined.
