ANNA BROWN
COSTUME AND WARDROBE
1910's- Christine
Date Completed
November 2022
Made for the RBC Production of 'Nora: A Doll's House'. This brown wool split skirt was for the character 'Christine' set in 1918.

The show is heavily based on Ibsen's famous play; 'A Doll's House', but this new version, written by Stef Smith features 3 parallel Nora's in different periods split over the past century; in an effort to show how little has changed for women and in turn, how relevant the play is to a modern audience.

I made the split skirt (so it is actually trousers) with a covering flap to obscure the 'indecency' of the design! It is made of wool suiting and the front flap is lined. closed with poppers and hook and bar on the side.
